Alleged Muses brings an experimental ethos and avant-garde sensibility to commercial image-making. As academically trained artists with over a decade of collaborative experience spanning fashion, film, and contemporary art, Blake Jacobsen and Meghan Sabik draw on their knowledge of art history, critical theory, and experimental artistic practices to create imagery that is seductive, subversive, and conceptually driven.
PHOTOGRAPHY & MOVING IMAGE
Photography and moving image are the primary mediums of our practice and the foundation of our formal artistic training. Working both behind and in front of the camera, we bring a highly collaborative and performative approach to image-making.
CREATIVE DIRECTION & ART DIRECTION
We develop distinctive visual concepts for brands, publications, institutions, and fellow creatives, working across fashion, advertising, art, and entertainment. From campaigns and editorial projects to site-specific installations and performances, we bring a conceptually driven and experimental approach to projects that often resist easy categorization.ART CONSULTING & VISUAL WORLD-BUILDING
We collaborate with film/tv directors, production designers, and art departments to develop original imagery, artworks, and visual environments that contribute to a project's narrative and aesthetic identity. Our work includes original photography, video, artwork production, visual research, and consulting, most recently for Gregg Araki's I Want Your Sex (2026).TALENT & PERFORMANCE
We bring our experience in modeling, acting, and performance art to productions beyond our own. Available individually or as a duo, we welcome opportunities to collaborate with photographers, filmmakers, brands, and other creatives as on-camera talent.
COMMISSIONS & INQUIRIES
